I hope you all enjoyed the half term break. Although the
weather has been a bit grey it’s lovely to see the early
signs of spring.
Next Thursday 4th March is the day to bring back
your daffodil bulbs for judging. Please label pots clearly
with your child’s name and class and leave them on the
tables on the front decking area.
LENT APPEAL
Lent began last week and with it our annual Lent Appeal. The
timetable of fundraising events is printed on the reverse of
this letter.
This year we will be supporting the Bishop’s Lent Appeal,
Trinity Hospice and the Haiti Relief Fund.
There is an opportunity for adults to join in – please ask
for a form in the office.
Thank you to the Tulley family who have already raised a
fantastic £161 from their pancake sale and to Year 3 who
raised £112 from their coin sale all for the Haiti fund.
Our first event will be another Year 3 coin sale tomorrow at
3.15pm
PTA QUIZ NIGHT
Tickets are now available from class reps for this much
loved annual event on Friday 26th March. For
£7.50 you can enjoy an evening hosted by Mark Thomas, with a
glass of wine and buffet supper whilst you pit your wits
against other parents and some of the staff!
GRASS
SURVEY
The PTA have been out in the playground this week carrying
out a survey of pupils, parents and staff about the
possibility of raising funds to have the ‘grass’ area in
the lower playground covered in ‘no mow’ an all weather
artificial grass surface. If you missed them – please come
in and ask for a survey form.

ACTIVE KIDS IS BACK ...
The Sainsbury’s reward scheme is once again in full
swing – vouchers are given for money spent in store.
These can be exchanged for PE and sports equipment – a
great way to replenish our stocks, especially of lost
balls.
Please place your vouchers in the collection box outside
my office.
