AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS - Start week beginning 13th September.

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! Welcome back to the start of the new school year. I hope you all had a lovely summer break. A very special welcome to all the new children and their families joining us this term. You will have noticed that our building works are almost complete – only a few external jobs remain. But, these include the gate in the top playground so we ask that you continue to only use the Victoria Rise entrance until further notice. Class INTRODUCTORY TALKS will be taking place over the next two weeks. We hope you will be able to attend, as they are an opportunity to meet your children’s teachers, and to find out about class routines and plans for the coming year. You will have already received a ‘WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL’ booklet and Emergency/ Permission Forms. Please read through the booklet with your children, taking special note of the school rules, uniform and any changes to the day to day routines. The forms should be completed (both sides) and returned to school as soon as possible.   INTRODUCTORY TALKS Wednesday 8th =  Year 4 Thursday 9th =  Year 5 & Year 6 Friday 10th =  Year 1 Monday 13th =  Reception Wednesday 15th = Year 2 Thursday 16th =  Year 3   The talks take place at 3.30 pm in the classrooms.         Please arrange childcare and do not leave any children unattended in the playground or the park opposite as we are unable to supervise them.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS Club membership lists are posted on the Year 5 and 6 windows. Payment is due on Monday 6th or Tuesday 7th from 8.45 – 9.15am and 3.00 - 3.30pm in the hall. All clubs start week beginning 13th September.   MACAULAY BREAKFAST CLUB A good number of you took advantage of our Breakfast Club taster day last term. The Club runs from 8.00am every day and operates on a drop in basis. For £3 children are offered a breakfast of cereal, toast, a drink and a piece of fruit and supervised games and activities. We hope to see lots of children turning up! KS2 BACKPACKS Thanks to the successful campaign by last year’s School Council, we now have Macaulay backpacks which KS2 children may use. These are available from the school office at £8 each.   YEAR 5 Excitement is growing in the Year 5 classroom as they all prepare for their residential school journey the week after next. Would all Year 5 parents please ensure yellow medical/consent forms are returned by Monday 6th at the latest.   AND FINALLY.... Dinner Money for this term is £1.70 per day: One week  =  £8.50 Term 1  =  £62.90 Term 2  =  £57.80 From now till Christmas  =  £120.70 Please pay in advance – placing money in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class.
