LENT APPEAL

Our Lent Appeal is already off to a great start. The events so far - Y3 coin sale, KS1 hot cross buns and the KS2 cinema have raised £316.27.

Tomorrow all main school children will take part in one of their favourite events, the Sponsored Read. (The sponsor form was on the reverse of the World Book day letter).

Please remember that you can join in too – just ask for an adult’s Lent Appeal form in the office – there are only 3 challenges for you and they are not strenuous!

CLASS NEWS

Our Theatre Club members enjoyed an evening trip to the West End to see the Lion King and Year 3 loved their day at the Tate Britain Henry Moore exhibition.

We have champions in the school with Year 4 tag rugby team and both of our Quiz Club teams who came first and second in their first heat. Congratulations to all of them!

Year 1, 2 and 4 took part in drama and music workshops followed by a trip to the Festival Hall for Year 4.

Our girls’ football team are in competition for the first time today and tomorrow we have a Capoeira team competing in the Lambeth championships.

PTA NEWS

The PTA chairs took their proposal to replace the grass to the governors last week and got approval for the project to go ahead. Work starts on Monday and should take just over a week – and it will be well worth the wait! Thank you from the children, who were very much in favour of the idea, to everyone who made this possible

DAFFODILS

Judging of children’s daffodils took place last week and certificates were given out. Only a very small number were returned – if yours grew at all you will earn at least a bronze certificate so please bring them in!

VOUCHERS

We are collecting Sainsbury’s vouchers for sports equipment and Tesco vouchers for computers. There is now a collection point outside my office for these. Every single one helps and we are very grateful for your continued support.

QUIZ NIGHT

Our legendary annual Quiz Night, hosted by Mark Thomas is taking place on Friday 26th March. Tickets will be on sale in the playground tomorrow at £7.50 each, which includes a tasty buffet. Book your babysitters, get your team together and start revising now!!

REMINDERS:

DINNER MONEY is £8.00 per week, £46.40 for this half term, (up until Easter), payable in advance.

Copies of the new menu will be sent home early next week

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Details of clubs for the summer term are being sent home today along with application forms. These will also be emailed. Please make sure they are completed and returned by next Tuesday 16th March to avoid disappointment.

AND FINALLY....

A great big welcome into the Macaulay family to India, a sister for Ethan in Reception and to Jesse Parker, a son for Matt Parker (Year 6) and his wife Katy.

Best wishes
